Tips & Tricks for a Mobile Digital Marketing Strategy
Marketing professionals know important it is to have a mobile digital marketing strategy in order to be successful. A recent IBM study found that traffic from mobile devices accounted for almost half (47.9 percent) of all online traffic. That was up 16.3% from 2014. So it expected that mobile will become the dominant source of traffic in 2016.
Here, then, is our list of tips and tricks that mobile content managers need to keep in mind when devising an effective mobile strategy:
- Remember that mobile content drives website content. Whenever people see something on a mobile device — be it in the form of an Instagram post, a text message, or a Snapchat message — they could go to the website listed for follow-through. This, inevitably, is the perfect opportunity to turn a lead into a conversion.
- Your content, no matter what the medium, must be made available on every platform. This is where having a responsive website comes in, as these are available on all desktops, laptops, and tablets.
- Don’t ever underestimate the importance of geo-targeted marketing. If you haven’t already, make good use of Google Trends to keep an eye on what works best in your area, and try to tailor your content accordingly — don’t be a “trend-hopper,” especially if the trend causes you to veer too far off of your company’s message, but don’t ignore what your constituency is looking for.
With the bulk of web traffic about to be dominated by mobile devices, it really is important to think “mobile first” these days when considering your marketing. If you need some help, let us know.
